Vatican city is a small independent state laying on the Vatican Hill on the right bank of the Tiber. It is placed under the sovereignty of the Pope, Chief of the Catholic Church. The entrance is allowed to the Museums and to those parts of the Vatican Palace which are open to the public; these include the Sistine Chapel and The Raphael Rooms.
